About SESCOM
Our story, mission, values, and commitment to Tanzania's energy future.
Who We Are
A social enterprise built for impact
SESCOM is the implementation arm of TaTEDO-SESO, the Tanzania Traditional Energy Development Organisation, a long-standing Tanzanian NGO with decades of experience in clean energy, market development, and community-led behaviour change.
Our flagship business is modern electric cooking, supplying award-winning Electric Pressure Cookers and air fryers to households, savings groups, schools, and institutions across Tanzania. Two specialised trade names operate alongside SESCOM: SEECO (energy-saving stoves and ovens) and FRUKICO (solar-powered fruit processing).
Today SESCOM has reached all regions of Tanzania through three business support centres in Dar es Salaam, Kilimanjaro, and Dodoma, plus a network of 274 sales agents (70% women) and 140+ VICOBA / SACCOS partnerships.
